Ally Munitions Notes

Hornady lists this 80 gr ELD-X at 3,285 fps, matching the muzzle velocity of their match offering. This load appears tuned for long-range energy retention and controlled expansion on thin-skinned game.

Initial testing has yielded 1 MOA average group sizes, fired suppressed from multiple factory and semi-custom rifles. While we have not yet conducted velocity mapping across barrel lengths, that process is scheduled for near-term testing, with full velocity curves and SD data forthcoming.

We’ll be evaluating consistency across platforms as we work toward a comprehensive performance review.

Field Use

We are currently prepping this load for upcoming field testing and plan to begin real-world use during the fall predator and varmint season. The ELD-X’s controlled expansion and high retained energy make it a strong candidate for long-range coyote, bobcat, and light game applications. Full field results will be posted as testing progresses.
