CANNED HAM 223 REM 77 GR SB MOD-2

Our CANNED HAM line is a great option for hog hunting ammo, for the hunter wanting a better quality product than you get with factory ammo. Thats not to say big ammo doesnt put out more than adiqete ammo for hog hunting. We just wanted to offer something better. So with that said, what makes it better? What are the problems with factory ammo? Todays hog hunters are mostly runnig supressed short barrel platforms. And anyone who has ran factrory 5.56 or 223 ammo in that setup knows all to well its gassy as hell! At the same time the platform it self is dumping more dangerous contamienets in your face. While this typically ensures reliability in the platform, this isnt necessary in todays time. The moment you add a traditional suppresor on the end of your platform, you are increasing the back pressure greatly. While this will increase your platforms ability to power through cold tempratures and dirty opperating conditions , the cons are this increasees the likely hood of parts breaking on your platform. As well as decresing the life of parts such as gas rings inside the bcg. So its a bit of a catch 22. Perhaps the biggest down fall to me is the increased cleaning regime you must adhere to to keep the platform functioning reliably . Everyone hates cleaniong there rifles! In testing we also saw many factory offering still breatheing fire out the front of the suppressor. If youve ever ran night vision you know all to well this isnt ideal. 

We know the problems, now the solution. Custom taylor a load offering that still gives you more than adiqete velocity to get good expansion as well as penetration  out of the 77 gr nosler custom comp projectile, while getting a better burn on the powder to decrese these issues. Why the 77 gr Nosler Custom comp bullet? through testing in said short barrel platforms, we got the best results out of this projectile. Its terrible for long range , but amazing for sub 200 yard hunting at the velocities you will see in 16" and down barrel lengths. Also keeping in mind the powder we are using takes up less case capacity, so the actual length of the projectile gives us the perfect match for what we are looking for. Least amount of space between base of the projectile and powder as possible. While we do not garuntee this offering to perform in the longer gas systems, it runs flawless in the short barreled , traditional supressor platforms. Giving you a clean burning, very accurate, deadly combination. And many cases zero flash. To the unaware, the flash is often generated from unburnt powder , a non effecient offering for your particular set up. In most platroms running a tradidonal suppressor this ammo performed flawlessly in mid, carbine and pistol length gas systems. 

Why MOD-2 ? 

We firmly belive always be working on a better performing option. We made a brass change and a few other things, and was able to bring the velocity up a little more with mod -2. Still mainting our stringent accuracy standards for or ammo. As well as the above mentioned standards.
