The Ally Munitions Optic Mounting Advantage
Did You Know?
Over 80% of all rifle scope warranty returns are due to improper mounting procedures. That’s a staggering statistic and one we aim to change at Ally Munitions.
We have officially launched our optic inspection and mounting service for any optic we offer. But before we even get to the mounting process, let’s talk about why this matters and what sets our approach apart.
The Ally Munitions Philosophy: Good, Better, Best
At Ally Munitions, we follow a “Good, Better, Best” mindset when it comes to equipment. Optics are no different. Our goal isn’t to compete with large e-commerce platforms by offering every scope under the sun. Instead, we take a quality-over-quantity approach:
• We rigorously test multiple sample sets of any optic before deciding to carry it.
• Once an optic line meets our high standards, we then test mounts and rings to ensure they match the scope’s capability.
• We believe an optic is only as good as its mount—and, more importantly, how it is installed.
For mounts, we offer both the manufacturer’s option and a carefully curated secondary option from top-tier brands like Area 419, Badger Ordnance, and Reptilia.
In addition to optics and mounts, we will soon be offering a selection of accessories, including:
• Levels
• Throw levers
• Diving boards
• Custom caps
• Red dots (coming soon)
Our Expert Mounting & Testing Process
When you purchase an optic from us, you’re not just getting a box with a scope inside. You’re getting a fully inspected, professionally mounted, and tested system, ensuring everything is level, torqued, and ready to perform.
How It Works:
1. Full Inspection – Before we mount anything, we inspect both the optic and the mount for defects. If we find an issue, we replace it on-site and handle the warranty process ourselves.
2. Seasoning & Prefit – The optic is pre-fit, and the mount is seasoned by properly torquing and re-torquing screws. We also conduct a test fit on an AR or bolt gun receiver.
3. Final Assembly & Leveling – Using a dual-method leveling system, we ensure both the base and turret are perfectly level.
4. Torque & Gap Measurement – We torque all screws to manufacturer specs, carefully monitoring for even spacing and levelness.
5. Tracking & Return to Zero Test – A basic tracking test ensures your optic functions correctly and returns to zero after turret adjustments.
6. Bore Sighting – We provide a rough bore sight so you can get on paper faster at 20-50 yards.
7. Final Accessories & Checks – If your optic has batteries, throw levers, or other accessories, we install them and ensure everything is ready for the range.
Why Our Service Matters
Because we keep extra inventory on hand, if an optic fails our testing, we simply replace it before it ever reaches you. That means no downtime, no hassle, and no dealing with warranty claims—we handle it all.
Our tracking and return-to-zero test is simple yet effective, allowing us to verify functionality before your first range trip. In the future, we will be introducing an in-depth tracking and grading system for long-range scopes.
