What’s New with MOD-1?

While the original 65gr V-Max delivers exceptional performance across a wide range of barrel lengths, the MOD-1 takes it a step further. We’ve increased velocity, fine-tuned the load for longer barrels and gas systems.

• Increased Velocity: The MOD-1 delivers a slight increase in velocity compared to the original 65gr V-Max, providing you with enhanced downrange performance.
• Optimized for Longer Barrels & Gas Systems: Although the MOD-1 performs well across all barrel lengths, it truly excels in longer barrel lengths and gas length systems, where the extra velocity makes a noticeable difference.

The original Coyotero 65gr V-Max is still available, but the MOD-1 offers an additional option for those who need more velocity, especially when using longer barrel setups.

Average Velocities:

Note: All velocities are recorded at our facility at an elevation of 2,550 feet, 70°F, and 40% humidity. Actual velocities may vary depending on environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and elevation, as well as the specifics of your rifle platform. We recommend chronographing your ammo through your own rifle for the most accurate results.

• 12.5" Barrel: 2,770 FPS
• 14.5" Barrel: 2,960 FPS
• 16" Barrel: 3,070 FPS
• 18" Barrel: 3,120 FPS
• 20" Barrel: 3,200 FPS

Velocity Consistency:

We've tested thousands of rounds of this ammo and, on average, have observed a 1 to 1.5 FPS change per degree of temperature variation. This means that while the velocities may shift slightly with temperature changes, you can expect a consistent performance across a broad range of conditions. This consistency is crucial for hunters and shooters who need to rely on their ammo regardless of environmental factors.
