Notes From Ballistician Wade Chandler
Through our testing we have seen the 105gr bthp perform well on whitetail and hog sized game. While it works well for long range plinking, it does suffer slightly from temp sensitivity. You will experience a great deal of blow back when running this ammo in traditional suppressors. It's definitely more at home in longer gas systems. Performs well in 1:7 and 1:7.5 twist rate barrels.
We sit down and chronographed this offering a couple times through several barrel length offerings, then averaged out the velocities. Each velocity number provided is a result of those test and the average of 3 separate test. That said, we still recommend getting a chronograph and testing in your own time to collect your very own velocity data. However, you can take these velocities and tune from here on your ballistics app.
