At Ally Munitions, we don’t just resell parts—we validate them.

Every PROOF Research 6mm ARC barrel we offer goes through our in-house inspection process, where it’s logged, visually evaluated, dimensionally confirmed, and cleaned before reaching your hands. We don’t sell it unless we’d run it ourselves—and we do.

This series of PROOF’s carbon fiber wrapped barrels brings together the thermal stability of a heavy contour with the lightweight characteristics demanded by today’s precision AR platforms. Built by PROOF, verified by Ally—better comes standard.

Available Barrel Specs & Options

All barrels include a matched gas tube, except for the 16" model which ships with a standard rifle-length tube.

Important Notice – PROOF’s Standardized Updates

PROOF has recently implemented several meaningful upgrades across their barrels, and we believe these are welcome improvements:

• Revised Feed Ramps
  The new barrel extensions feature more generous feed ramps, significantly better than standard M4 cuts. These offer smoother feeding—especially helpful with longer, high-BC bullets.

• Chamfered Internal Gas Ports
  All barrels now feature chamfered gas ports inside the bore. In our opinion, this should be standard across the industry. It promotes smoother gas flow and less fouling buildup.

• Headspacing Notes
  While the included matched gas tubes and chambering are excellent, we’ve noted that these barrels headspace tighter with Superlative Arms bolts (Toolcraft OEM). They still technically pass GO-gauge tolerance, but you’ll need to clean them more frequently.
  If you're using a Superlative BCG, be aware—it’s a tight setup.
  The CMC BCG headspaces perfectly and is our top recommendation for these barrels.

Real-World Performance & Compatibility

Every barrel offered by Ally Munitions must meet our strict quality standards before it’s available to you. That includes:

• Testing by our internal teams

• Logging of all inspection data into our in-house tracking system

• Verification of chamber fitment, bore quality, and material integrity

We test representative barrels from each line extensively. If it doesn’t pass our process, we don’t sell it—period.

Tuning Tips from the Field

Tuning gas and recoil systems is never one-size-fits-all, but here are some universal principles we recommend:

• Gas System Length vs. Buffer Weight
  The longer the gas system, the lighter the buffer should be. Exception: for traditional baffled cans, increase buffer weight to control bolt speed.

• Gas Management
  Never restrict gas at the port. Instead, bleed off excess gas using a quality adjustable gas block. This extends both barrel and bolt life.

Shipping & Preparation Notes

Each barrel ships fully logged, inspected, and protected in-house by Ally Munitions. As part of our prep:

• All barrels are cleaned and re-coated with a protective oil

• Please clean thoroughly before firing

• Barrel inspection data is kept on file and available upon request
