Proof Research Drop-In Barrels for the Q Fix – Why We’re Offering Them

The Q Fix has always been an excellent rifle—lightweight, well thought out, and capable right out of the box. With the introduction and growing popularity of .22 Creedmoor, the Fix platform now has access to one of the most efficient and capable modern cartridges available. That combination is what led us to take a serious look at Proof Research drop-in barrels for the Q Fix.

As with everything we offer at Ally Munitions, these barrels didn’t make it into our lineup based on reputation alone. Proof Research has long been known for producing outstanding barrels, but we still put these through our full in-house inspection process—visual inspection, borescoping, receiver fitment, headspace verification, muzzle and chamber evaluation—before ever offering them to customers.

We’ve been running our original sample barrel in our own Q Fix and have been very pleased with its performance. Of our current ammo offerings, the rifle has shown a strong preference for 75gr and 88gr ELD-M projectiles, which makes for a solid starting point for anyone getting into this setup. As always, that’s not a guarantee—but it’s real-world data from our own use.

Every barrel we sell is fully inspected, documented, and supported by our internal tracking system, complete with borescope video and logged specs. Customers receive a printed inspection summary, while the full digital record remains archived and accessible by serial number at any time.
