CULL BUCK!!
Introducing Cull Buck Ammunition – Built for the Modern Deer Hunter
At Ally Munitions, we’ve never been shy about doing things differently. Our ammo isn’t made for the mass market—it’s made for the modern hunter. The one who wants more than “good enough.” That’s where Cull Buck comes in.
Cull Buck is our dedicated deer hunting line. But unlike most factory deer loads, it’s been handloaded, heavily tested, and field proven. We load it to the same exacting standards as our premier line—each round is individually built, inspected, and tested with the same obsessive attention to detail you’ve come to expect from Ally.
The difference? We try to save you a little on cost by using select components that help us reduce price without sacrificing field performance. That means less expensive brass in some cases—but powder is still individually weighed, primers are hand-seated, and projectiles are carefully chosen and tested by us, not just pulled from a catalog.
Built Around What Actually Works – Not What Looks Good on a Shelf
Our goal with Cull Buck is simple:
Deliver true match-grade accuracy with terminal performance that flat-out works—from up close to further than most would dare take the shot.
We wanted a round that mirrors what we already do for our own hunts:
-
Tight standard deviations
-
Temperature-stable powder selections
-
Proven bullet performance on whitetail, mule deer, hogs, and pronghorn
-
All while keeping it affordable enough to zero with, train with, and hunt with the same load
Terminal Performance, Backed by Field Results
We didn’t guess our way through bullet selection—we earned it. The first Cull Buck load features the proven 109gr Hornady ELD-M in 6mm Creedmoor. While originally designed as a match projectile, its terminal performance on deer-sized game has exceeded expectations in the field.
It delivers the correct amount of penetration with consistent expansion—even as distances stretch. Where traditional hunting rounds often fail to open up or underperform at extended ranges, the ELD-M keeps working. Expansion is reliable, energy transfer is immediate, and results are decisive.
We’ve hunted with it. We’ve tested it. We’ve seen what it does on whitetail, mule deer, and pronghorn. This is a bullet that does exactly what we ask of it—when it counts most.
Fully Handloaded, Field Tested, and Modern Hunter Approved
Every Cull Buck round is handbuilt at Ally Munitions using the same multi-step inspection process we use across all lines:
-
Each primer is hand seated to spec
-
Each charge is individually weighed
-
Every projectile is seated to exact depth
-
All built using temperature-stable powders we’ve personally vetted across hunting seasons
We aren’t here to make traditional ammo—that’s what the big companies are for. We make ammo for hunters who expect more. More consistency. More performance. And above all, more confidence when it’s time to squeeze the trigger.
First Out of the Gate – 6mm Creedmoor 109gr ELD-M
The first official offering in the Cull Buck line is our 6mm Creedmoor 109gr ELD-M. This round is perfect for:
-
Mule deer (at suitable ranges)
-
Whitetail
-
Hogs
-
Pronghorn (especially with fall hunts approaching)
Velocity Data (Suppressed Rifles – 70°F, 35% Humidity, Elevation: 2,550 ft)
Average velocities were derived from 10-shot groups across multiple rifles in proper working order:
-
18" Barrel: 2900 FPS
-
24" Barrel: 3090 FPS
-
26" Barrel: 3100 FPS
-
16" and 20” barrels: Data coming soon once test rifles are back in service
Across the board, we’ve seen sub-12 FPS SDs, with newer barrels showing sub-6 FPS SDs consistently. As always, individual results may vary.
Final Thoughts
Cull Buck isn’t a gimmick. It’s not a repackaged factory round with a catchy name. It’s the result of years of field testing, load development, and dialing in performance where it matters most—in your hands, on your hunt.
If you want ammo that performs like a custom handload, shoots like a match round, and delivers devastating real-world terminal results, then Cull Buck was made for you.
