A recent contest over on TPH Facebook group we asked members to give the best piece of advice to a new hunter. Jack Lilac won with following .

Spend plenty of time at the range, practicing with your setup exactly how you'll use it in the field, under similar conditions. Dont assume it will perform the way you want-know it will.

Remember: slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. Move quietly when entering and leaving your setups. Setting up cleanly without making noise is crucial.

Choose stands based on wind direction. You wont always get to hunt your preferred spots, but if the wind isnt right, skip it.

SHORT, AND TO THE POINT BUT PACKS A PUNCH.
