Vortex Razor AMG 1-10×24 – Early Field Impressions

The Vortex Razor AMG 1-10×24 has been riding around with us for quite a while now, and it’s seen everything from deer hunting in West Texas, to calling coyotes in the Panhandle, to riding shotgun on the dozer while working ranch country. In other words, this optic hasn’t lived an easy life.

We’ve literally beat the piss out of ours, and it’s still holding zero perfectly.

What Stands Out So Far

The glass quality is absolutely top tier. The image is extremely sharp with excellent contrast, and it provides excellent low-light performance, which is critical when you're trying to pick animals out of shadows at first and last light.

At 1×, the illumination is daylight-bright and behaves very much like a red dot, making target acquisition extremely fast when animals show up close.

At the top end, the EBR-9 MRAD reticle really shines at 10×. The holdover grid and wind references make it extremely usable for longer shots without needing to dial, which is exactly what we want out of a modern LPVO.

Final Thoughts (So Far)

After quite a bit of real-world abuse, the Razor AMG has proven to be extremely durable, incredibly capable, and very easy to run in the field.

Right now it’s Wade’s favorite LPVO, and it has absolutely earned its place in the Ally Munitions lineup.

More testing is coming, but so far this optic completely lives up to the hype.
