We really like what Vortex did with the new center aiming dot size on the EBR-8 reticle—it’s just about perfect. The reticle itself is clean, simplistic, and very usable across the full magnification range.

While we would not call the illumination true daylight bright for extremely fast target shooting in the harshest sunlight conditions, from a hunting standpoint it absolutely gets the job done. The reticle remains easy to pick up and very usable in real-world field environments.

Overall, the reticle design is well thought out and easy to run. Combined with the full 1-10× magnification range, this optic brings a lot of capability to the table.
