The Ally Munitions Premier Series 6mm Creedmoor 110gr Hornady A-Tip® represents one of the finest long-range hunting offerings we have ever developed.
Built around Peterson Premium Brass, premium components, and our meticulous handloading process, this load was designed for hunters who demand exceptional consistency, predictable external ballistics, and dependable terminal performance on game.
Although originally introduced as a match projectile, our extensive field testing has proven the 110gr Hornady A-Tip®to be an outstanding long-range hunting bullet. It has successfully taken hogs, whitetail deer, and elk, delivering reliable expansion and excellent terminal performance while maintaining the outstanding accuracy the A-Tip platform is known for.

Operational Envelope

To help customers better understand the potential downrange capability of this ammunition, Ally Munitions uses two separate models that together make up what we call the Operational Envelope.
MIVM — Minimum Impact Velocity Model: Gives you a generalized idea of the distance at which the projectile remains above our established minimum impact velocity. Simply put, the MIVM helps show where the projectile can be expected to perform more predictably in the target.
TVM — Transonic Velocity Model: Gives you a generalized idea of the distance at which the projectile remains above our 1,350 FPS transonic reference. Above this reference, the projectile's flight can generally be modeled more predictably using traditional ballistic models. Once velocity falls below this region, projectile flight can become slightly less predictable and traditional ballistic models may not represent actual downrange performance as consistently.
Both are models. They are intended to give you a generalized idea of the ammunition's potential Operational Envelope based on Ally Munitions' collected data and testing. They are not guarantees of exact performance or recommended hunting or shooting distances.

MIVM — Minimum Impact Velocity Model

For the 110gr Hornady A-Tip®, Ally Munitions uses 1,700 FPS as the minimum impact velocity reference.

The MIVM helps you understand where the projectile is modeled to remain within its more predictable terminal-performance envelope in the target.
This does not mean that every shot inside the modeled distance will produce identical terminal performance, nor does it establish a recommended maximum hunting distance. Actual impact velocity, shot placement, target anatomy, angle, environmental conditions, and other variables can affect terminal performance.

TVM — Transonic Velocity Model

For this ammunition, Ally Munitions uses 1,350 FPS as our transonic velocity reference.

The TVM helps you understand the distance over which the projectile's flight can generally be modeled more predictably using traditional ballistic models.
Once the projectile falls below the transonic reference, its flight can become slightly less predictable and actual downrange performance may begin to vary more from traditional ballistic predictions.

Understanding the Operational Envelope

Together, the MIVM and TVM make up the Ally Munitions Operational Envelope.
The MIVM provides a modeled reference for predictable performance in the target, while the TVM provides a modeled reference for predictable performance in flight.
These models are built from Ally Munitions' collected data, test elevation, temperature, and environmental conditions and are designed to give you a generalized idea of what to expect.
They are not guarantees of exact performance, maximum hunting distances, or maximum shooting distances.
Always chronograph the ammunition through your individual rifle and establish and verify your own ballistic data.

Platform & Suppressor Testing

This 6mm Creedmoor Premier offering is developed for bolt-action rifles only and is not intended for semi-automatic platforms.
As with all of our ammunition development, we collect substantial amounts of data across different barrel lengths, rifle configurations, and environmental conditions before an offering moves into production. Every component is selected based on how it works in conjunction with the complete system, not simply how one individual specification looks on paper.
Our bolt-action testing includes traditional baffled suppressors. Suppressor design, barrel manufacturer, chamber dimensions, barrel condition, and other platform-specific variables can all influence the results you see from your individual rifle.
This is handloaded, performance-based ammunition developed around precision, consistency, reliability, and hunting performance.
Always properly maintain your rifle, understand your individual platform, chronograph your ammunition, and confirm your data before relying on published performance information.

Packaging & Storage

Inside the outer sleeve, the ammunition is packaged in a heavy-mil sealed, resealable bag with a silica gel pack inside.
We've spent considerable time developing and testing the variables surrounding ammunition and component storage. How components are stored before loading, how finished ammunition is packaged, and how you store that ammunition after purchase can all matter when consistency is the goal.
The idea is simple: store your ammunition as well as you reasonably can. Protect it from excessive moisture, but also avoid unnecessarily exposing it to extremely dry conditions, excessive heat, direct sunlight, or major environmental swings.
After opening the package, leave the silica gel pack inside and reseal the bag when you're finished. The heavy-mil bag isn't simply disposable packaging; it's part of the storage system we've selected for the ammunition.
We've put considerable time and effort into controlling component and ammunition storage on our end. Maintaining good storage practices after purchase gives you the best opportunity to preserve the consistent performance the ammunition was developed to provide.
