AR-15 & AR10 CHARGING HANDLES
RADIAN RAPTOR-SD & REPTILIA PULLER
A charging handle seems like a simple component until you spend enough time behind a rifle. Lever size, ambidextrous operation, suppressor use, receiver fit, and overall construction can make a noticeable difference in how a rifle handles.
At Ally Munitions, we don't see a reason to stock a pile of charging handles just to have more choices. We carry options we actually like and use. Our current lineup includes the Radian Raptor-SD for AR-15/M16-pattern rifles, Reptilia PULLER AR15, and Reptilia PULLER AR10.
Each takes a slightly different approach, so choose the model that best fits your rifle and intended use.
RADIAN RAPTOR-SD
Suppressor-Optimized AR-15 Charging Handle
The Radian Raptor-SD has long been our go-to charging handle for suppressed AR-15 builds.
The Raptor-SD combines Radian's fully ambidextrous Raptor design with a ported shaft specifically intended to redirect gases down and forward, away from the shooter's face. No charging handle can completely eliminate the additional gas associated with suppressed operation, but the Raptor-SD is designed specifically with that environment in mind.
Its ambidextrous levers allow positive manipulation from either side of the rifle, while 7075-T6 aluminum constructionprovides the strength we expect from a hard-use charging handle.
RADIAN RAPTOR-SD FEATURES
- Designed for AR-15/M16-pattern rifles
- Suppressor-optimized design
- Ported shaft redirects gas down and forward
- Fully ambidextrous operation
- 7075-T6 aluminum construction
- MIL-SPEC Type III hardcoat anodized finish
- Made in the USA
WHY WE LIKE THE RAPTOR-SD
We've used and tested the Raptor-SD extensively across a wide variety of rifles, and it continues to be our go-to charging handle for suppressed AR-15 builds.
Suppressors change how gas moves through the rifle, and no charging handle is going to magically eliminate all of it. The Raptor-SD simply incorporates features specifically intended to help manage that environment while retaining the durability, positive engagement, and ambidextrous operation we want from a charging handle.
It's a proven option and one we continue to use on our own builds.
ALLY MUNITIONS RAPTOR-SD INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE NOTES
Before final assembly, we recommend dry fitting the charging handle in a stripped upper receiver. Cycle it several times and verify smooth, unrestricted travel and proper fit.
We also like to apply a small amount of quality high-temperature grease to the contact surfaces that ride against the receiver walls, along with a small amount in the U-shaped channel ahead of the handle.
This can help smooth operation while also giving carbon and fouling somewhere to collect. On suppressed rifles, periodically clean these areas and reapply a small amount of grease as needed.
Don't overdo it. A small amount is all that's necessary.
REPTILIA PULLER AR15
Low-Profile, Fully Ambidextrous AR-15 Charging Handle
The Reptilia PULLER AR15 takes a different approach.
Rather than using oversized controls, Reptilia designed the PULLER around positive manipulation with streamlined, low-profile, anti-snag geometry. It is fully ambidextrous and designed to provide solid engagement from either side of the rifle without adding unnecessary bulk.
Reptilia also increased the shoulder geometry of the PULLER AR15 to help mitigate excess gas around the rear of the receiver during suppressed fire.
REPTILIA PULLER AR15 FEATURES
- Designed for AR15-pattern rifles
- Fully ambidextrous
- Billet 7075-T6 aluminum construction
- MIL-STD Type III, Class 2 hardcoat anodized
- Low-profile, anti-snag geometry
- Increased shoulder geometry intended to help mitigate excess gas during suppressed fire
- Heavy-duty coil pins
- Stepped pin holes designed to securely retain the coil pins
- Made in the USA
- Reptilia lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects
- Ally Munitions currently stocks Black only
Reptilia specifically uses heavy-duty coil pins rather than traditional roll pins, combined with stepped pin holes designed to help keep those pins securely retained through repeated use.
REPTILIA PULLER AR10
Purpose-Built Large-Frame Charging Handle
The Reptilia PULLER AR10 brings the PULLER concept to large-frame AR10-pattern rifles.
Rather than simply taking an AR15 charging handle and scaling it up, Reptilia designed the PULLER AR10 around the geometry and operating characteristics of the larger platform.
Large-frame rifles can introduce heavier operating systems and greater forces during manipulation. The PULLER AR10 is designed to provide increased leverage and consistent manipulation under load while retaining the ambidextrous operation and low-profile, anti-snag geometry of the PULLER family.
REPTILIA PULLER AR10 FEATURES
- Designed for AR10-pattern rifles
- Fully ambidextrous
- Billet 7075-T6 aluminum construction
- MIL-STD Type III, Class 2 hardcoat anodized
- Increased leverage for the large-frame platform
- Designed for consistent manipulation under load
- Low-profile, anti-snag geometry
- Made entirely in the USA
- Reptilia lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects
- Ally Munitions currently stocks Black only
REPTILIA CONSTRUCTION
Both PULLER models are machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with a MIL-STD Type III, Class 2 hardcoat anodized finish for durability, wear resistance, and corrosion protection.
Both PULLER models are made in the USA.
WHICH ONE?
RADIAN RAPTOR-SD
Our longtime choice for a suppressed AR-15 build. Fully ambidextrous with a ported shaft specifically designed around gas management.
REPTILIA PULLER AR15
A streamlined option for the AR-15 platform with fully ambidextrous operation, low-profile anti-snag geometry, and increased shoulder geometry designed with suppressed use in mind.
REPTILIA PULLER AR10
The large-frame option. Designed specifically for AR10-pattern rifles, with increased leverage while maintaining the low-profile, fully ambidextrous PULLER design.
ALLY MUNITIONS NOTES
All three are here for a reason.
If we're building a dedicated suppressed AR-15 and want the charging handle we've relied on for years, the Radian Raptor-SD remains one of our standards.
The Reptilia PULLER AR15 gives us another American-made option with a different approach: streamlined controls, positive manipulation, and a low-profile design.
For large-frame rifles, the Reptilia PULLER AR10 gives us a purpose-built option instead of trying to make an AR-15 component do a job it wasn't designed to do.
Pick the correct platform, install it properly, keep the contact surfaces maintained, and get to shooting.
