Sobchak Security LLC Old Hickory Riser for Q Fix & Mini Fix

Bring True Comb Adjustment to Your Q Fix

The Old Hickory Riser from Sobchak Security LLC is an innovative stock upgrade designed specifically for the Q Fixand Q Mini Fix platforms. Unlike traditional fixed-height negative comb designs, the Old Hickory allows shooters to tune comb height to their individual body structure, optic setup, and shooting style while still benefiting from the advantages of a negative comb profile.

Constructed from beautiful American Walnut, the Old Hickory provides a unique appearance that stands apart from the factory polymer option while maintaining practical field performance. It is also slightly lighter than the factory riser.

Whether you're building a dedicated hunting rifle, long-range setup, or simply want to improve rifle fit, the Old Hickory offers a level of adjustability that many Fix owners have been looking for.

Ally Munitions Notes

We've been slightly skeptical of the negative comb trend in the past, largely because our experience was limited to rifles with non-adjustable combs. While the theory made sense, many fixed-comb systems forced shooters into a cheek position that simply didn't fit their body structure, optic height, or shooting style.

The Old Hickory changes that equation.

Now that we have both the Old Hickory Riser and the WieBad Fix Cheek Pad available, shooters can truly tune the Fix platform to fit their exact wants and needs. Instead of being locked into a factory comb height, you can adjust the system to establish a comfortable and repeatable cheek weld while still taking advantage of the negative comb geometry.

Under recoil, the rifle naturally moves rearward. One of the intended benefits of a negative comb design is that the comb falls away from the shooter's face during that rearward movement rather than driving directly into the cheek. This can help the rifle recoil more naturally and may make it easier for some shooters to stay in the optic and maintain sight picture throughout the recoil cycle.

There is certainly more to the concept than can be covered in a product listing, and we'll be releasing additional videos discussing our observations and testing in greater detail.

At a minimum, we can confidently say one thing: it looks exceptionally good on a Fix.
