Q FIX STOCK TOOL

A Purpose-Built Stock Adjustment Tool for the Q FIX

The Ally Munitions Q FIX Stock Tool is a compact T25 tool specifically designed for making the two primary adjustments on the Q FIX stock: comb height and length of pull.
The Q FIX uses T25 hardware throughout the rifle, which is something we really like. However, the stock adjustment system deserves a little more attention. The comb-height and length-of-pull adjustment screws have relatively low torque requirements, and applying too much torque can damage the stock's wedge block.
That's exactly why we built this tool.
The size of the Q FIX Stock Tool was specifically designed around two things: limiting the amount of leverage you can apply to the stock adjustment hardware and making the tool compact enough to store directly on the rifle in many common AR-15 grip battery compartments and storage inserts.
It's small on purpose.

WHY THE SIZE MATTERS

The size of this tool was not an accident. We designed it this way for two very specific reasons.
First: Torque.
The Q FIX uses T25 hardware throughout the rifle, but this tool was designed specifically for the comb-height and length-of-pull adjustments on the stock. Those adjustments don't require the leverage of a full-size T25 driver. Too much leverage makes it unnecessarily easy to overtighten the hardware and potentially damage the wedge block.
The short handle acts as an intentional torque-limiting design feature by reducing the mechanical leverage available to the shooter. It gives you the tool you need to make normal stock adjustments without giving you a giant handle that makes it easy to overdo it.
Second: Storage.
We wanted this tool to stay with the rifle.
Its compact dimensions were specifically designed so the Stock Tool can fit inside the battery-storage compartments found in many common AR-15 grip inserts and grip boots. With a compatible grip and storage insert, you can keep your dedicated Q FIX stock adjustment tool directly on the rifle.
Those two requirements drove the design: reduce unnecessary leverage and make it small enough to keep with the rifle.

SPECIAL NOTE ON STORAGE

One of the reasons we specifically designed the Q FIX Stock Tool around this compact size was so you can keep it on the rifle instead of hunting for a T25 when you need to make a stock adjustment.
The Stock Tool fits inside the battery-storage compartments found in many common AR-15 grip inserts and grip boots.
Our favorite setup is the B5 P22 Grip with the compatible boot insert, both available from Ally Munitions. The Q FIX Stock Tool seats snugly inside the battery-storage compartment of the boot, giving you a dedicated T25 stock adjustment tool stored directly on your Q FIX.
That's part of why the tool is the size it is: short enough to help limit unnecessary leverage on the Q FIX stock adjustment hardware and compact enough to store on the rifle.
Grip and storage-insert dimensions can vary, so fit with other grip systems is not guaranteed.

AMERICAN-MADE T25 BIT

Every Q FIX Stock Tool comes equipped with an American-made T25 driver bit.
The bit is press fit into the Stock Tool. For its intended purpose, simply leave it installed and you've got a dedicated T25 tool for your Q FIX stock.
However, we didn't permanently lock you into that configuration.
The T25 bit can be removed and used in another compatible driver. The Stock Tool itself will also accept other compatible standard 1/4" driver bits, giving you some additional versatility if you want it.
If you never intend to swap bits and want the T25 permanently retained, a small dab of appropriate adhesive can be placed inside the base before pressing the bit back into position.

MADE IN AMERICA. FINISHED IN TEXAS.

The entire Ally Munitions Q FIX Stock Tool is proudly made in America by our outstanding U.S. manufacturing partner, and the supplied T25 driver bit is American made as well. We source American-made components and materials whenever possible. That's important to us. When an American-made component that meets our requirements is available, that's where we want our money going. When we have to source something elsewhere, we choose the highest-quality component available rather than compromise the finished product.
But being made in America is only part of the process.
Once the Stock Tools and components arrive at Ally Munitions, every single tool, bit, part, and piece is individually handled, inspected, tested, and quality controlled during final packaging by proud Texans at Ally Munitions. We don't pull one tool out of a batch, check it, and assume everything else is good.
Every single completed Q FIX Stock Tool is individually hand torque tested using actual Q OEM screws and an actual Q FIX stock. We verify T25 engagement, fit, function, and the tool's intended leverage against the actual Q stock hardware before it is approved for final packaging.
American made. American sourced whenever possible. Individually inspected, hand tested, and quality controlled in Texas. Every single piece. Every single time.

ALLY MUNITIONS NOTES

This is a simple tool designed around something we actually needed on our own Q FIX rifles.
Q already made things easy by using T25 hardware throughout the rifle. We weren't trying to make another general-purpose T25 driver. We wanted a dedicated tool for adjusting comb height and length of pull that could stay with the rifle.
The size is the key.
Make it too long and you create unnecessary leverage on stock hardware that doesn't need it. Make it too big and nobody is going to keep it stored on the rifle.
So we designed around both.
Short enough to help limit leverage. Compact enough to fit in many AR-15 grip battery-storage compartments. Useful enough that there's really no reason not to keep one with your Q FIX.

IMPORTANT USE INFORMATION

The Ally Munitions Q FIX Stock Tool is designed to reduce the amount of leverage available compared with a conventional full-size driver, but it is not a calibrated torque wrench and does not mechanically stop at a predetermined torque value.
The tool was designed around the relatively low torque requirements of the Q FIX stock's comb-height and length-of-pull adjustment hardware. Always follow Q's current specifications for your particular rifle and stock hardware.
Do not overtighten the Q FIX stock adjustment screws. Excessive torque can damage the wedge block, screws, threads, or other stock components.
