The Ruger American has become one of the most popular factory rifles on the market, and for good reason.

Ruger has also done an excellent job of keeping up with modern cartridge offerings. Whether it's .22 ARC, 6mm ARC, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester, or many of today's other popular chamberings, the Ruger American has become the rifle many hunters and shooters purchase as their entry into precision shooting or as a dependable hunting rifle.

It's a rifle most of us don't mind actually using.

You don't feel bad carrying it through mesquite, throwing it in the truck, dragging it across a fence crossing, or taking it on a week-long predator hunt. It's become the definition of a hard-working rifle that simply gets the job done.

One thing we've always believed at Ally Munitions is that our ammunition should be tested in the same rifles our customers actually own.

We don't develop loads in laboratory barrel fixtures.

We don't chase velocity from custom test barrels that no customer will ever own.

Instead, we spend countless hours testing our ammunition in production rifles using the suppressors, optics, and accessories that shooters are actually taking into the field.

That means we naturally spend a tremendous amount of time evaluating factory rifles.

As we do, certain trends begin to emerge.

Some rifles benefit tremendously from upgraded triggers.

Others deserve better stocks.

Sometimes a simple accessory dramatically improves the rifle's capability.

Since we're already performing this testing for ourselves, it only made sense to make those findings available to our customers.

That's exactly why this category exists.

These aren't random parts we've decided to sell.

They're products we've personally installed, tested, hunted with, and evaluated before recommending them.

Upgrade Kit 1 is built around one of our favorite chassis systems ever produced—the Kinetic Research Group Bravo.

We've been running Bravo chassis on multiple rifles for years, and they continue to impress us with their balance of simplicity, ergonomics, durability, and real-world performance.

The Bravo transforms the Ruger American into a modular precision platform while maintaining excellent handling characteristics for hunting applications.

Whether you're chasing coyotes, shooting steel, or building a rifle capable of doing a little of everything, this kit is an outstanding place to start.

If someone asked us where to start when upgrading a Ruger American, this would probably be our first recommendation.

The Bravo has proven itself over the years as one of the best values in the precision rifle world.

It isn't flashy.

It isn't overly complicated.

It simply works.

The ergonomics are excellent, the bedding system is extremely solid, and the rifle immediately feels more substantial without becoming excessively heavy.

We've hunted predators, shot steel, and spent countless hours behind Bravo-equipped rifles, and they continue to earn our respect.

The addition of the full-length ARCA rail dramatically increases versatility by allowing quick attachment to tripods and support equipment, while the included QD sling cup gives you flexibility when configuring your rifle for hunting or competition.

ARC Compatibility Notes

This chassis utilizes AICS-pattern magazines.

We've personally tested both .22 ARC and 6mm ARC in this system with excellent results, particularly in Gen 2 Predator rifles and 20-inch barrel configurations.

However, because ARC cartridges were never the original design intent of the AICS magazine system, compatibility can vary depending on the rifle, bolt geometry, and magazine.

Our best results have been achieved using:

• Magpul AICS Magazines

The KRG Bravo is a true drop-in chassis.

Installation typically takes less than fifteen minutes using basic hand tools.

IMPORTANT: This kit is designed exclusively for the Ruger American Gen 2 platform. It is not compatible with Gen 1 rifles.

This is probably our favorite overall Ruger American package.

The KRG Bravo already gives you an outstanding foundation, but adding the Timney Gen 2 Two-Stage Trigger and WieBad Cheek Pad elevates the rifle to another level.

The Timney was the first two-stage trigger we tested extensively for the Gen 2 Ruger American, and we were immediately impressed. The smooth first stage, defined wall, and crisp second-stage break provide outstanding control whether you're hunting or shooting from the bench.

We're also firm believers that a properly fitted rifle is easier to shoot well.

The addition of the WieBad cheek pad creates a more consistent cheek weld and improves comfort during long range sessions or extended days in the field.

Combined with the KRG Bravo, this package transforms the Gen 2 Ruger American into a rifle that feels substantially more refined while maintaining the rugged reliability that made the platform so popular.

Individual Ruger American Upgrades

Not every Ruger American needs a complete upgrade kit. Many shooters simply want to improve one area of the rifle, whether that's the trigger, magazine system, stock, or another accessory. That's why we also offer many of the same components individually. Every product in this section has earned its place through real-world use. If we haven't personally tested it, hunted with it, or spent significant time evaluating it, you won't find it here. Our goal isn't to offer the biggest selection. Our goal is to offer the right selection.

Timney Gen 1 Trigger

Adjustable Single-Stage Flat Trigger

IMPORTANT: Designed for Ruger American Gen 1 rifles only.
The Timney Gen 1 Adjustable Single-Stage Trigger remains our favorite trigger upgrade for the original Ruger American platform. While the factory trigger is certainly usable, the Timney offers a dramatic improvement in feel, consistency, and overall shootability. The flat trigger shoe promotes consistent finger placement, while the adjustable pull weight allows shooters to tune the trigger to their individual preference. The break is crisp, clean, and predictable—exactly what we look for in both a hunting and precision rifle.

If you own a Gen 1 Ruger American and only plan to upgrade one component, we'd strongly recommend starting with the trigger. It's one of the easiest upgrades to install and one of the biggest improvements you'll immediately notice every time you pull the trigger.

Timney Gen 2 Trigger

Adjustable Two-Stage Trigger

IMPORTANT: Designed for Ruger American Gen 2 rifles only.
The Timney Gen 2 Adjustable Two-Stage Trigger is our preferred trigger upgrade for the second-generation Ruger American platform. The smooth first stage transitions into a well-defined wall, followed by a crisp second-stage break that offers outstanding control whether you're hunting, shooting from the bench, or engaging targets at extended distances. It gives the rifle a much more refined feel while maintaining the reliability you'd expect from a field rifle.

This was the first two-stage trigger we tested extensively in the Gen 2 Ruger American, and it immediately became our favorite. It offers excellent control without being overly light for hunting applications, and after spending time behind it, it's difficult to go back to the factory trigger. If you're serious about improving your Gen 2 Ruger American, this is one of the most impactful upgrades available.

Every upgrade we offer has been installed, tested, and evaluated on real rifles under real-world conditions. We've hunted with them. We've carried them through the field. We've shot them suppressed and unsuppressed. We've tested them with our ammunition. We've identified what works, what doesn't, and where each product excels.
