Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56 FFP

EBR-7D MRAD & EBR-7D MOA

The Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56 FFP is a serious long-range and precision optic, available from Ally Munitions with the EBR-7D reticle in both MRAD and MOA.
We've been testing this beast for over a year, and it has earned the Ally Munitions seal of approval.
There's no getting around the fact that this is a monster of an optic when it comes to capability and magnification range, but its overall form factor isn't reminiscent of the older Gen II Razors. For a 6-36x56 optic with this level of capability, we don't think the weight is bad at all.
We've really enjoyed it on dedicated long-range and precision rifles, including 7mm PRC and .300 PRC platforms. We also really enjoy the EBR-7D reticle. It's straightforward, easy to understand, and simple to use.

EBR-7D Reticle

The EBR-7D is a first-focal-plane reticle, meaning the scale of the reticle remains proportional to the zoomed image throughout the magnification range. Consistent subtensions allow accurate holdover and ranging at all magnifications.
The reticle appears larger at higher magnification and smaller at lower magnification.
We offer the EBR-7D in both MRAD and MOA, allowing you to choose the measurement system that matches the way you shoot.
For us, one of the biggest positives is simply how easy the EBR-7D is to work with. It gives us the information we want from a long-range reticle without making the shooting process unnecessarily complicated.

Optical & Mechanical Features

Class-Leading HD Optical System

Stunning resolution and a class-leading field of view combine to create Vortex's advanced optical system.

XR Plus Lens Coatings

Anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces provide maximum light transmission for excellent clarity and low-light performance.

L-Tec+ Zero System

The L-Tec+ Zero System uses captive parts and a single set screw, making the zeroing process quick and straightforward while allowing additional travel once zero is established.

Micro-Adjust Zero Setting

Infinite zero-setting positions allow the zero to be established between clicks for more precise zero positioning.

Optically Indexed Lenses

Designed to optimize image sharpness and brightness from edge to edge.

Locking Side Illumination

The illumination dial is located on the left side of the turret housing and can be locked. It features 10 intensity levels with off positions between each setting.

Glass-Etched Reticle

The reticle is protected between two layers of glass for durability and reliability.

Plasma Tech

Vortex's coating-application process is designed to provide coating durability and performance.

Ally Munitions Notes

We've been testing the Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56 for over a year, and it has absolutely earned its place in our lineup.
While this is a phenomenal optic for the big boys, including dedicated long-range 7mm PRC and .300 PRC platforms, we're not limiting it to the big cartridges. We currently have our first test model mounted on a 26" .22 Creedmoor for long-range hunting and plinking.
It's a monster, and we love it.
Yes, it's a big optic—but it's also a 6-36x56 long-range riflescope. What surprised us is that its overall form factor doesn't remind us of the older Gen II Razors. For the magnification range and capability you're getting, we don't think the weight is bad.
The EBR-7D is another big part of why we like this optic. It's useful without being unnecessarily complicated, and after spending considerable time behind it, we've found it extremely easy to work with.
MRAD or MOA comes down to how you prefer to shoot. Pick your system and go shoot.
After more than a year of testing, the Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56 gets the Ally Munitions seal of approval.
