The Canned Ham Series was created for hunters who spend more time behind the trigger than behind a keyboard. Every Canned Ham load is handloaded and validated across multiple platforms. We utilize temperature-stable powders, low-flash formulations, and projectiles that perform in real-world hunting environments—not just ballistic gel.

Recent Product Improvements

We recently sat back down with this load and made several refinements that have improved performance across the board.

The biggest change was shortening the overall cartridge length to better accommodate the wide range of chamber specifications and freebore dimensions that exist in the wild. While the previous version functioned extremely well, this update has improved compatibility across a broader range of rifles.

We also spent considerable time refining the load itself, resulting in tighter average group sizes throughout our testing. The end result is a load that shoots better, feeds better, and performs more consistently than ever before.

Simply put—we're extremely happy with the outcome.

Projectile Details – Hornady 90gr ELD-X®

The Hornady 90gr ELD-X® was selected because it offers an outstanding balance between external ballistics and terminal performance.

While many hunters associate the ELD-X with larger cartridges, it has proven exceptionally effective in the 6mm ARC platform, especially on hogs and whitetail-sized game.
